Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT)

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging technique that produces high resolution cross-sectional tomographs (or pictures) of the retina. This is very useful in determining if there is edema, of inflammation, in the retina. It is also useful in checking for macular holes. It is painless and in no way dangerous to the eye.
